Embodied, Soulful & Wise

Rachel MF is a Buddhist contemplative and healing artist with a long history of exploring the inner worlds of trauma, healing, and spirituality. Her work is informed by her childhood experience of religious oppression, a family history of suicide, and over 20 years of professional training, practice, study, and facilitation in embodied healing, Buddhist philosophy & meditation, contemplative inquiry, and expressive writing. Rachel teaches and facilitates practices of recovery and awakening that are embodied, holistic, and rooted in direct experience. Her work is guided by a commitment to the authority of our own living wholeness, and a trust in our capacity to embody wisdom, compassion, and authentic expression.

Rachel is a trained massage therapist, holds an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Trauma, Healing & Spirituality, and has extensive experience providing spiritual and healing care to individuals and communities living through extreme isolation and vulnerability. She’s also taught Buddhist philosophy & meditation under the guidance of Rodney Smith of Seattle Insight Meditation Society. Rachel is currently a student of Upaya Zen Institute’s chaplaincy training program and is developing a body of work on utilizing Buddhist philosophy & meditation to support the process of grieving violent and traumatic death.

“My goal is to give you back to yourself - to support you in knowing and embodying who you truly are even despite trauma, violence, and oppression.”
